COLOURFUL DISPLAY

COLOURFUL DISPLAY

Following the success of ‘Butterflies in the Glasshouse’ earlier this year, RHS Garden Wisley have just announced it will be returning to the garden from 16 January to 28 February 2010.

The tropical highlight provides a truly beautiful winter-time escape amongst the exotic plant collection in the Glasshouse. Over 1,000 tropical butterflies of all sizes and colour will once again be looked after by staff from the Glass Team behind the scenes, before being released to take flight amongst tall palms and lush foliage.

The event is set to equip visitors with more interesting facts and opportunities to study the butterflies close-up than every before, with plenty of easy-to-read information points and observation platforms laden with fruit.

Whatever the weather, this is a colourful experience guaranteed to banish the post-Christmas winter blues. Butterflies in The Glasshouse will be open from 10am–3.45pm daily (last entry 3.30pm). The Garden will close at 4.30pm (last entry 3.30pm). The experience is free with normal garden entry.
