Add some festive cheer to your tea stop at Raby Castle

Add some festive cheer to your tea stop at Raby Castle

Raby Castle's Christmas Shop and Stable Tearooms, near Darlington, Co Durham, is the perfect place for group refreshment stops with added festive cheer and shopping this November and December.

A Christmas Shop and the adjoining Stable Tearooms will be open from 17 November until 23 December offering passing visitors and locals alike a cosy and atmospheric setting to enjoy a warming drink and take home a fantastic range of decorations, stocking fillers and tasty treats, including frozen Estate venison and game, Christmas cakes and the renowned Raby ginger wine, it’s a perfect stopping place while touring Co Durham and the north-east.

The Castle and Garden will remain closed throughout the winter but groups and coach parties are welcome throughout the Christmas opening at the shop and tearooms. Admission is free of charge and there is plenty of free coach parking on hard standing. To book your tea stop, or discuss group catering options, contact the Stable Tearooms on 01833 660541.

There’ll also be some festive events in the lead up to Christmas, including a synthetic skating rink on 17 and 18 November, and Santa will be in his grotto from 1 until 23 December, delighting old and young alike. Tickets for this popular Santa’s Grotto must be booked in advance and can be purchased on-line at www.rabycastle.com.
