Pride & Prejudice

Pride & Prejudice

2010-09-05

On Sunday 5h September, visitors to the Alnwick Castle can expected to be transported back in time as Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet take to the stage in their exclusive open air evening performance of Pride & Prejudice.

Set against the 1,000 year old atmospheric Alnwick Castle bailey, onlookers will be enchanted by Laura Turner’s adaptation of the Jane Austen literary classic by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company, as they watch Elizabeth and her sister Jane’s quest for love with the enigmatic Mr Darcy.

After being wrapped up in the notoriously vivacious courtships that is Pride & Prejudice, visitors will have the opportunity to meet and chat with the characters.

Head along to the Castle a little earlier, where from 5pm, early bird dining will be on offer in the Courtyard café. Or, share a picnic with friends in the stunning Castle surroundings.

Booking is essential. You can call 01665 511080 or 01665 511350, to book tickets.

More information about the evening performance can be found at www.alnwickcastle.com/whats-on
