Follow in the footsteps
Tintern has inspired discerning visitors since the 18th century when the first package holiday-makers followed in the footsteps of Wordsworth and Turner, on the Picturesque Wye Tour. Today’s group visitors can explore a full day’s worth of attractions or simply stop for a local cream tea before visiting the ruined Abbey and adjacent Abbey Mill craft centre or the restored ironworks. You’ll also find special interest shops, a vineyard, farm shop and the Old Station Visitor Centre. For further information visit
