Capital celebration
Lady Lever Art Gallery reveals hidden treasures as groups can enjoy Masterpiece Watercolours and Drawings, an exquisite exhibition of British watercolours and drawings. The exhibit runs from 28 June to 9 November 2008, and includes work by JMW Turner, John Constable, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, David Cox and Edward Burne-Jones. As part of Liverpool’s celebration of being European Capital of Culture, the exhibition is a unique opportunity to view a selection of the gallery’s collection of delicate artworks, many of which have never been displayed to the public. The exhibition of 35 images spans over 200 years, revealing the flourishing of the British watercolour school in the 18th century and its development into the early 20th century.

Famous London
Another great way for groups to get together this summer is by going on a sightseeing tour with London Duck Tours. You can experience a guided tour of the City of Westminster by road and river, without ever leaving the comfort of your seat. Departing from Waterloo, you’ll drive past famous London landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square, before launching into the River Thames from their slipway at Vauxhall for the waterborne part of the 75 minute tour. The excitement of seeing London in this novel way is enhanced by an entertaining, action-packed commentary by their tour guides. To book a tour with your group, contact London Duck Tours on the details below.
