House proud
The Royal Family’s Norfolk country retreat - Sandringham House - is always worth a visit as it’s set in 60-acres of stunning gardens, and is well known as the finest of the Royal gardens. The principal ground floor apartments of the house have a charming collection of porcelain, jade, furniture and family portraits, which are open daily to the public, together with a fascinating museum of Royal vehicles and mementoes. The house closes at the end of October and re-opens in Easter 2008, however groups can still enjoy a Christmas festival at Sandringham’s Visitor Centre, from 15 December to 6 January, with ice-skating, a pantomime and rides.

Work of art
Royal Worcester attracts many group visitors each year, as it’s one of the West Midlands top attractions. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to buy a bargain from one of the many on-site shops, or you can enjoy the wonders housed in the refurbished museum, see real craftsmanship at work, or take a well deserved break in the Café where you can sample the local food. There’s also the chance to join the museum’s audio tour, introduced by Henry Sandon. With the help of artists and craftsmen, Henry accompanies the visitor on a journey through the Georgian, Victorian and 20th century galleries where works of breathtaking craftsmanship are displayed in room settings and vignettes against sumptuous backgrounds. The museum is nestled amidst Victorian factory buildings in the heart of historic Worcester, within easy walking distance of the River Severn, the cathedral and the city centre. To find out more about the treats on offer at Royal Worcester you can give them call on the number below or visit their website.
