Action-packed
Cardiff Castle is all set for an action-packed 2008 with a host of special events lined up. One of the highlights of the calendar will be a fully staged Joust, from 20 to 22 June, as a hoard of medieval knights thunder into the City to do battle. Then on 2 July, Shakespeare returns to the open–air theatre for three days with performances of Much Ado About Nothing, in the wonderful setting of the Castle grounds. Their spring event will be the opening of the New Interpretation Centre, which will house a new exhibition, film presentation, café and shop. And if that’s not enough, thrilling sword displays, a medieval melee, and demonstrations from Britain’s top combat artists are programmed throughout the year, making your group’s visit to Cardiff Castle one to remember.
