Live to tell
The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust opens and cares for five beautiful historic houses and gardens all linked with William Shakespeare and his family. Each house has its own fascinating story to tell and, seen together, they bring the complete Shakespeare story to life. There is a great range of special interest tours and talks led by experts, available exclusively to groups, and there are great deals on multiple house tickets and early booking discounts. Their Group Visits team will be happy to help you plan a trip. For further information call the number below or visit their website.

The perfect base
Situated less than a mile away from central Birmingham, The Paragon Hotel is a perfect base from which to explore all the city has to offer. You can sample a delicious dish from their traditional but modern British menu, or enjoy afternoon tea in their light and airy lounge. They also have newly refurbished bedrooms, which have been pared back to their most elemental form. A base of neutral shades with a splattering of sharp lime green soft furnishings creates a warm yet modern feel. Flat screen TV’s and quality bed linen ensure a relaxed home from home environment for the regular traveller.

Full-blown experience
Shugborough is one of the nation’s most stunning historic houses, and offers groups a wide range of tours and packages. Whether it’s cleaning the house with owls’ wings in the 18th century, a full-blown lunch in the servants’ quarters in 1871, or a Christmas experience, you’ll find it all at Shugborough. Much of their food is homemade and locally sourced, with lunches and cream teas in the Garden Room, and beer produced on the estate itself. Group organisers are welcome to attend a free familiarisation trip, and will receive free admission when the whole group visits. Drivers are also given a complimentary meal upon arrival.
