Fair game
Oakleigh Fairs have been busy creating a brand new programme for 2007. To keep you busy and entertained you will find beautiful hand worked arts and crafts, through to demonstrations of rural pursuits. In between all the creative fun, you might like to take a break and visit their tasty food halls, where they specialize in home-cooked food. Bank Holiday shows you can’t afford to miss include the Bexley Craft & Country Show at St. Mary’s Rec. from 7 to 9 April, and the West Anglia Craft & Country Show at The Showground in Godmanchester from 5 to 7 May. Coach parties are welcome and group discounts are also available.

Whatever takes your fancy
From May 10 to May 13, Living Crafts returns to Hatfield House in Hertfordshire for its 33rd consecutive year. The range of work exhibited by the country’s top designers is very impressive – from rural and traditional skills such as basketry and weaving, to the contemporary, including ceramics, designer jewellery and studio glass. Living Crafts truly is a wonderful day out for both the serious craft enthusiast and those that just want to have fun.
